The Wandering Hearts are a United Kingdom-based music trio who have quickly earned a reputation for unique, meaningful songs. The band features members Tony Kett and Tara Wilcox, both born in 1993, and Tim Prottey-Jones, born in 1998.
The Wandering Hearts has been credited with a new age of folk-pop, born from a critically acclaimed decade plus of collectively absorbing Americana, roots, singer-songwriter and Classic Pop influences. The band was founded in Cambridge in 2016, motivated by a shared love of country, folk, and pop. In 2018, The Wandering Hearts signed to Decca Records and released their self-titled debut album, a collection of original tunes. The 10-track LP was produced by Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, The Stereophonics, and Norah Jones). This offering secured the group’s place as one of the freshest and most promising new acts of the year, receiving universal acclaim from music press and tastemakers.
The popularity of The Wandering Hearts continued to grow and their second album, “Wild Silence”, was released in 2020. This offering revealed the band’s tightened songwriting and class producing of Ethan Johns and Alan Smyth (The Shins, Stornoway). Strongly inspired by their own life experiences, this album saw The Wandering Hearts carefully crafting their folk-pop gems with love and soul.
Since their formation in 2016, The Wandering Hearts have produced several beautiful and meaningful songs. From the lead single of their debut album “Devil” to the heartfelt “Shoulder” and “Is it Too Much”, the Wandering Hearts have had great success with their releases. Other fan favourites include “Shine” and “I Want Your Love”, a classic duet between Wilcox and Prottey-Jones.
