The Sherlocks are an English indie rock band formed in 2010 in the small town of Bolton-upon-Dearne, South Yorkshire, England. The Sherlocks have had post-rock, blues, and psychedelic influences with a melodic approach and a high-energy live show. Members of the band include Kiaran Crook (vocals/guitar), Brandon Crook (guitar/vocals/keys), Josh Davidson (bass/vocals), and Andy Davidson (drums).
In 2010, brothers Kiaran and Brandon Crook, with their friend Josh Davidson, formed the band in Bolton-upon-Dearne. After playing gigs in Sheffield and Leeds, they released their debut EP, 'The Sherlocks', in 2011 to positive reception. In 2012 the band signed to local indie label Doghouse & Bone Records and released the singles 'Shake It' and 'Reaction'.
In 2013, the band released a third single, 'Live for the Moment', and recorded their debut album, Live for the Moment, with producer Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur) at The Town House Studios in London. The album was released to great critical acclaim and featured tracks like 'Live for the Moment' and 'Last Night', which were adopted as anthems by football fanbase up and down the UK.
In 2014, the band released their second album, Heart & Soul, which included an even more diverse range of styles, from funky hip-hop beats to anthemic indie rock. The album garnered positive reviews, and featured tracks like 'Will You Be There?' and 'Coming Home'.
