Takida are a legendary Swedish alternative rock band from Borlänge, Sweden that have been making music since 1999. The band consists of five members: Tony Söderberg (guitar/vocals), Fredrik Allberg (guitar), Kristoffer "Kikke" Sjödin (drums) and two of the founding members, Robert Pettttersson (bass/vocals) and Markus "Mackan" Larsson (guitar/vocals).
Takida formed back in 1999, when their eponymous debut album was first released in 1999. The band was instantly booked to perform at some of the biggest rock festivals in Scandinavia, and quickly gained a fan base that hailed from all over of Europe.
One highlight in the band’s career happened in 2010 when the band won the "Best Live Band" award at the Swedish P3 Guld awards. The same year Takida released their latest album at the time, “Curtain Call”, the album was a success and topped the Swedish charts.
The band has released five studio albums between 1999 and 2016; “Takida”, “MAKE YOU BREAK”, “Beyond”, “The Burning Heart” and “Curtain Call”. The albums contain some of their most famous tracks; “The Things We Owe”, “Handlake Village” and “Fall”.
The band has toured extensively in Europe, America, Australia and Japan. Their extensive discography and extensive touring have helped to establish them as one of the best Scandinavian alternative rock bands in the world.
