OneRepublic is an American pop rock band formed in 2002 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The band consists of lead vocalist Ryan Tedder, guitarist Zach Filkins, drummer Eddie Fisher, bassist and cellist Brent Kutzle, and keyboardist Drew Brown.
The band OneRepublic was originally founded by Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins in 2002 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The two soon left their jobs and moved to Los Angeles, California in order to pursue their musical career. After a few changes in their lineup, the band achieved its present form in 2004.
OneRepublic debuted their first major-label album, Dreaming Out Loud, in 2007. Despite mixed reviews, the album was certified gold in the US and platinum in the UK. The band achieved mainstream success with the single "Apologize," which became their top-selling single to date.

OneRepublic draws influence from a variety of styles and genres, such as pop, rock, and alternative rock. As such, some comparable artists include Maroon 5, The Script, Coldplay, and Death Cab for Cutie.
