Nielson is a Latin-Fusion Pop band formed in Mexico 🇲🇽 in the early 2000s. Consisting of five members, Nielson is the quintessential example of modern pop music with a Latin influence, combining the latest production techniques with genres from all over Latin America, their musical style has taken the world by storm.
The band was originally formed in Mexico City after meeting at a music academy in 1999. The five members, who had all established individual musical careers before coming together, originally started by working on their own separate Latin-fusion projects, which lead to the creation of Nielson.
In 2002, the band announced the first single, En Lo Oscuro, which went on to become a Latin Pop hit in the early 2000s. The single proved to be a launching pad for the band, who went on to release two studio albums in 2003 and 2004; 'Sin Límites' and 'Oye Mi Amor'.
Nielson is composed of five members: Jose Chavarria, Miguel Chavarria, Enrique Chavarria, Miguel Chavarria Jr, and Ricardo Chavarria. The Chavarria family are not only the band members, but also the composers and producers of the music.
The band's members have experienced various changes since their creation in the early 2000s, and have seen various additions and departures over the years. They have however all remained true to their Latin-Fusion style.
The group's discography includes four albums; 'Sin Límites', 'Oye Mi Amor', 'Verano Eterno', and 'Latino Pop'. As well as several singles, such as 'En Lo Oscuro', 'Tu Voz', 'Slowly', and 'Vive', to name a few.
The group has also released a variety of hits, both in their native Mexico and abroad. Of their biggest hits, 'En Lo Oscuro' hit number one on the Mexican charts and was viewed over 8 million times on YouTube.
