Loathe - A Band Making History Since 2017

Loathe are a five-piece metalcore/rock band from Liverpool, England with a unique blend of originality that has captivated fans worldwide. Founded in 2017, they have gone on to become one of the world's most acclaimed modern metal acts since the release of their breakout 2019 album ‘The Cold Sun’.

Band History

Frontman Kadeem France (vocals) and Connor Sweeney (guitar) formed the band in 2017 and have since been joined by Sean Radcliffe (guitar), Chris Dalton (bass) and Alex Hurley (drums). The band have since released three studio albums, starting with their 2018 self titled album that set the groundwork for their signature sound, featuring an eclectic mix of metal, djent and post-hardcore.

In 2019 the band released ‘The Cold Sun’, their most successful release to date. With heavy hitting riffs, soaring guitar solos, and visceral screaming combined with a post-rock and atmospheric sound, the album was well received by critics, appearing in numerous ‘Best of 2019’ including being voted ‘Album of the Year’ by Metal Hammer Magazine.
