Formed in 2012, KALEO’s story is like few others. Lead singer and guitarist JJ Julius Son combined a wealth of musical stylings to create a blend of classic and contemporary sounds - infusing elements of blues, folk, country and rock.

The lineup currently consists of Julius Son, Davíð Antonsson (drums) and Jólef Páll Wardresson (bass). They made their debut in 2014 with the release of their first EP titled ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Racket’.

However, their most notable moment came shortly after in 2015 with their single ‘All the Pretty Girls’. It soared up the charts, reaching to as high as number one in Europe, and making them one of the most popular rock bands of the decade.

This massive hit then served as the backbone to the success of their studio album ‘A/B’, released in 2016. It boasted four singles, three of which were Top 10 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

They followed up two years later with the critically acclaimed ‘Vor í Vaglaskógi’ and rocked the stage during their European tour. Some of KALEO’s music has been described as being close in sound to bands such as Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons and Coldplay.

Their distinct blend of different sounds and styles, from rock to blues and from folk to country, makes them stand out as a uniquely captivating presence on the modern music scene. KALEO have built a devoted fan base over the years and have become one of the most sought-after acts in the music industry.
