Origin & Early History

The band originally formed in Amsterdam in 2011 and consists of five multi-talented artists: Thijs van der Klugt (vocals, guitar), Diego Binneboese (bass guitar), Mats van Engelen (drums), Ruben Verhulst (guitar) and Thomas Kirk (keyboards).

Originally consisting of van der Klugt and Binneboese, the group released their debut single "Tonight" in 2012. This single marked the beginning of their journey towards becoming the MVP’s of the Dutch music scene.

Band History

The band’s popularity rose steadily since then. In 2014, their second EP, <i>The Hardest Part of the Night</i> was released and gained multiple mainstream radio plays. This success was followed by the release of their debut album, <i>Valerius</i> in 2015. It was praised for its unique blend of classic rock and electronica.

In 2019, Jett Rebel released their second album, <i>Super Pop</i>, which spawned their most successful single to date, “Love Revolution”.

The band's popularity reached its peak in 2020, when they sold out multiple stadium shows and received numerous awards including “Best Dutch Act” at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
