Jeremias (also known as Jeremias, S.A.) is a Mexican Heavy Metal band formed in 1990 in Mexico City. The band is composed of vocalist/lead guitarist Rubén Deterte, rhythm guitarist Marco Ares, bassist Diego Reyes, and drummer Juan Steiner. Jeremias have released four studio albums and have toured Mexico, the United States, and Europe.
Jeremias started out as a power trio in 1990, playing covers of popular metal bands from the 80’s. In 1994, they released their self-titled debut album, which featured the well-known single “Grim Reaper”. The album was a success, and Jeremias found themselves playing at packed venues throughout Mexico, United States, and Europe.
In 1997, the band released its second album, titled “Vicious”. The album was a bigger success than the first, and featured the single “Wake Up”, which became a hit in Mexico and abroad. With the success of this album, the band was able to tour extensively, playing to packed venues throughout the world.
In 2000, Jeremias released their third album titled “Inhuman”. It featured their highest charting single, “Till The End”, and the album itself received rave reviews from critics. This album was followed by a Mexico - United States tour, which was a great success.
The band's fourth album, “Living In The Dark”, was released in 2004 and was met with much acclaim. The album featured many popular Mexican metal singles, including “Wake Again”, “Testify”, and “Living In The Dark”.
