Guus Meeuwis is a Dutch singer-songwriter who has contributed to defining the Netherlands musical landscape for over two decades. Born in Goes, Netherlands in 1972, Guus Meeuwis started playing guitar at the age of 12 and soon after that became involved in the local music scene. In 2000, Guus Meeuwis assembled a full-fledged backing band, the “Vadelez Gang”. This collectively allowed him to tour and perform his music. Over the years the band has seen multiple changes in members, most notably the addition of keyboarder Koen van Kaam and drummer Stim van der Heide. With them, Guus Meeuwis released the album [[Guus Meeuwis en Vrienden]] in 2001, which featured many hit singles.
