Born in 1984 in Austin, Texas, Gary Clark Jr. is primarily a blues guitar player. In his early teens he developed a passion for playing guitar and was learning the blues by jamming with the legendary musicians of Austin’s music scene. At the age of 13, Clark Jr. made a skillfully recorded nine-minute solo recording of a blues track which immediately cemented his reputation as an exceptionally talented musician.
