Born Curtis Dupree Harding in Georgia, United States in the year 1986, Curtis Harding is an American singer and songwriter famous for his soulful rock and roll sound. His music is infused with a unique blend of rhythm and blues, punk, and blues rock that evokes the sounds of classic R&B as well as modern alternative rock.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

As a young child, Curtis Harding was surrounded by music and immersed in gospel sounds. His grandmother, who performed gospel music across the south, was a constant influence in his life and he attributes her influence to his love of music.

Curtis began writing and recording music as a teen, performing in small clubs and venues in Georgia. In 2009, he collaborated with well-known producers Brian Eno and Danger Mouse on their project “Dark Night of the Soul”.

Band Chronology and Notable Releases

In 2012, Curtis Harding formed his own band, “Curtis Harding”, and recorded his first studio album “Soul Power”. His hit single “Next Time” from that album was featured in the soundtrack for the HBO hit series “True Blood” and went on to become professionally successful.

Harding continued to develop his musical style with his follow-up album, “Face Your Fear”, released in 2017. The album was critically acclaimed and included the songs “On and On” and “Need Your Love”, both of which would end up charting on Billboard.
