Coheed and Cambria - A Powerful American Rock Band From Downstate New York

Formed in 1995, Coheed and Cambria has achieved success in the alternative rock and heavy metal genres thanks to their ingenious blend of varied musical elements. The band started in the small town of Nyack, New York by brothers Claudio Sanchez (vocals, guitars) and Travis Stever (guitars), joined later by Michael Todd (bass), Chris Pennie (drums) and Matthew Lewis (keyboards).

The members of Coheed and Cambria released their first studio album, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, in 2002. The album made waves in the indie rock and punk scenes, quickly propelling the band to fame and establishing Coheed and Cambria as a definitive voice in the American underground music scene.

The Second Stage Turbine Blade was followed by the smash-hit albums In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 in 2003 and Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 1: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness in 2005. Themes such as love, war, and alien conspiracy were explored on these albums, and helped expand Coheed and Cambria's fan base to the mainstream.

Since then, the band has released at least one album nearly every year - albums such as No World for Tomorrow (2007) and Year of the Black Rainbow (2010). But their signature sound always carries on - full of dynamic builds, soulful crescendos, and captivating lyrics.

With their vast discography, Coheed and Cambria have earned a huge fanbase of fans who have followed the band through their various line-up changes. In 2014, the band welcomed former member Travis Stever back into the fold and returned to their original line-up of Claudio Sanchez, Michael Todd, Chris Pennie and Travis Stever.
