Origin

The Butcher Babies can trace their beginnings back to the mid-2000s in Sherwood Forst, Los Angeles. Singer/guitarists Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd had both been in several metal bands prior to forming the Butcher Babies, and eventually decided to unite their talents to form the Butcher Babies.

Band History

The Butcher Babies released their first studio album in 2013, titled 'Goliath.' The album featured singles like "Never Go Back" and "Magnolia Blvd." Goliath was met with positive reviews from music critics, and spawned a successful video for the song "I Smell a Massacre," which gained more than two million views on YouTube.

The group followed up with their second studio album 'Take It Like a Man' in 2015. The album featured the singles "Monster's Ball" and "Igniter." Take It Like a Man was a commercial success, peaking at #12 on the Billboard 200.

The Butcher Babies' third album, titled 'Lilith', was released in 2018. Lilith featured singles like "Headspin" and "Korova," and was met with positive reviews once again.

Chronology

In 2016, the Butcher Babies released their first live CD/DVD, Live & Unplugged, which featured acoustic takes on classic Butcher Babies songs. The following year, they released their fourth studio album, 'Lilith.'
