Born and raised within the rich musical traditions of South Carolina, Boogie T has become a renowned funky band over the last 30 years. From their debut album in 1991 to their latest tour in 2021, the group has experienced incredible success, amassing fans throughout the country. The band has earned a reputation as one of the most talented and successful funk-driven acts in the US, thanks to their eclectic songwriting and vibrant performances.

Boogie T originally started as a side project of brothers Brad and Justin Davis, who had already established a successful rock career with their band, The Wild Turkeys. In the fall of 1991, the group released their first record, which sparked the beginning of their journey into funk. They were quickly met with success, racking up radio play, gigs, and recognition from numerous music sites.

The brothers had grown up listening to classic funk bands such as Parliament-Funkadelic and James Brown. They embraced this sound and built their own unique style around it. Brad’s knowledge of sax and other horns gave the band an extra punch, and this helped to propel them quickly onto the music scene.

Throughout the 90s, the band consistently released albums, with their mid-career hit, Area 51, featuring their first single,"Funk All Night", being featured on the Billboard charts. The brothers also frequently collaborated with other bands, including Talking Heads, P-Funk Allstars, and Fishbone.

In 2004, Boogie T began to tour nationally, and they have since performed at festivals such as Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival. Over the years, they've delivered high-energy performances, bringing their signature funk sound to crowds all over the globe.

The group’s biggest success has been the release of their most recent studio album, Funky Enough, which was released in 2017. This album became an instant classic, reaching No. 1 on the iTunes funk chart, and earning the distinction of being one of the top 10 most downloaded funk albums of the year.
